We are proud to share that Veldskoen Shoes donated 100 pairs of shoes to Bellville South Primary school in association with Education without Borders (EwB). This partnership supports EwB’s mission to nurture children’s dreams and shape their future in South Africa.
EwB’s after-school programs in South Africa provide more than just education:
“Kids learn here how to get a voice. You will see, sometimes when we start with a learner, they don’t want to get up to the front to answer questions. They don’t even have the courage to put up their hands, even if they know the answer. So we believe this is a place and a platform for them to increase their self-esteem.” – Anthea Jansen, Programme Manager at EwB.
Empowering disadvantaged and at-risk youth in South Africa is one of EwB’s greatest achievements and continuous effort.
Veldskoen Shoes believe every pair of shoes is an investment in the future of a South African, and know the importance of quality leather shoes. Established in 1969, the Veldskoen Shoes are handcrafted in South Africa where they employ some of the finest shoemakers in the country. Each Veldskoen shoe is hand stitched, with extreme care and attention to detail.
Well-made shoes imprint the shape of our feet but also the story of its owner’s journey. By donating 100 pairs of shoes and 1% of their profits, Veldskoen Shoes is joining EwB’s mission by providing quality shoes that are part of a greater story to empower youth through education.
